The Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture (STMF) celebrated April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with children living in the “Umutkent Container Living Area.” The celebration program, which took place on Wednesday, April 23, was attended by Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Ersan Çiftci, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferdi Karaönçel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Döndü Tülay Özkul and Research Assistant Mustafa Yasin Aydoğan from the Department of Painting, Dr. Yasemin Kesmin Yılmaz, Lecturer from the Visual Communication Design Department, Dr. Olcay Korkmaz, Lecturer from the Music Department, Lecturer Harun Barış, Dr. Tuna Taşdemir, Lecturer from the Performing Arts Department, Dr. Atakan Aslan, and Research Assistant Sündüz Adilak.

As part of the event, the Umutkent Container City Children's Choir, conducted by Dr. Olcay Korkmaz, took the stage. Painting Department students, with the Painting Workshop, helped children express their excitement for the April 23 holiday on paper. Students from the Performing Arts Department, on the other hand, gave the children unforgettable moments with a children's theater play called Mis ile Pis (Clean and Dirty), which explained the importance of cleanliness and regular nutrition to children. The celebration program also included clown shows and various treats that gave the children enjoyable moments; colorful images emerged throughout the event. At the end of the event, children were presented with age-appropriate books as gifts.
